Aula 03- Inglês
Hello dear students! How are you?

Hey, I am just (apenas) here(aqui) to tell (dizer) you about (sobre) how(como) nervous (nervosa)tests make
(deixam) me. Today (hoje), I had (tive) a test and I was (estava) 1% off a pass (do que sou) due to (devido) how
nervous I was. Whenever (Sempre que) I have a test, I panic (entro em pânico) and rush through it (faço
apressadamente )which (que) causes me to fail (me faz falhar). Do you know (sabe) how (como) to be (ficar) calm
and normal? Also (também), due to (devido ao) the fact that I’ve failed (que eu falhei) I have (tenho) to do (fazer) the
test again (novamente). However (Entretanto), most (a maioria) of the people in my class(minha aula) have passed
(passaram)the first time (na primeira). Do you think (acha) they will laugh (caçoar) at me (de mim)? I’m always
(sempre) scared (medo) of getting laughed (de rirem de mim) at. Whenever it happens (acontece), I break down
(fico arrasada).

Dear (querida) Georgia,
You described (descreveu) two different problems – your test anxiety (ansiedade) and your fear(medo) of
being (de ser) laughed at (caçoada) by (por) your classmates (colegas). You have already (já) figured out(descobriu)
that(que) your high (alto)level (nivel) on anxiety is interfering (está interferindo) with (com) your test performance.
Now you need (precisa) to learn (aprender) how to control that anxiety so that your test scores (notas) actually (na
verdade) reflect (refletem) your knowledge (conhecimento) and ability (capacidade) and are not being pulled down
(e não te prejudiquem) by your rushing (pressa) through (nos) exams. Practice (Pratique) some (alguns) relaxing
deep (profunda) breathing (respiração) exercises at home first (primeiro) and then (após) at school. You can even
(até) do (fazer) deep breathing in the middle (no meio) of a test, which (o que) should (deveria) ease (confortar) your
feelings (sentimentos) of anxiety. You can find (achar) examples of these exercises on the Internet. You might (pode)
also study more than usual (mais do que o normal) so you will feel (sentir) more confident (mais segura) when
(quando) you take (faz) tests. Ask (Peça) your parents or teachers for their suggestions (sugestões) about (sobre)
staying (ficar) calm during tests. As for your concern (quanto a sua preocupação) about getting laughed (caçoada) at
by other students, try (tente) to ignore (ignorar) their reactions. Remind (Lembre-se) yourself that everyone (todo
mundo) is afraid of (tem medo) something (de algo) and that(que) other students are wrong (errados) to laugh (de
caçoar) at you.
